1)I do not think that deforestion has been justified as the photo showed that trees are dying. They are being destroyed by slash and burned method.
2) Without forest, we will not have enough oxygen and animals will be extinct. As the forest keep disappering, our future generation will not be able to see real live animals than in the books.
1] i think that deforestation is not justified as video shows that tree are being used in all method [eg: paper] and large amount of trees are being burnt down to build housing estate. The weather also cause trees to catch fire.
2] The world will end as there is lack of trees to provide us oxygen and climate will turn worse and getting hotter and hotter. soon humans will die.

1) i think that deforestation is not justified as the video shows that tress are being burnt and cut down for the paper and the space to built for example housing estates.
2)Although forests seems to be an unimportant thing but without them we may nt live and animals will be extinct.

Q1)On my opinion, deforestation is not justified. By looking at the video,mankind has threatened most of the mother nature either by clearing, slashing or burning the trees. As a result, the planet loses as many as several hundred species to be endangered or become extinct.
Q2)When the forests are dissapearing over the years, mankind stands to lose much more. We risk our own quality of life and deforestation will also affect global climate and biodiversity.

1)First i do not think that deforestation is not justified just by looking at the video itself,but this does not mean that the forest is justified. And also it does not mean that the goverment is not doing anything to protect forests. Human burn, slash, cut forest because of human demand. So by saying that human destroy forest causing lot of animal endangering extiction is wrong but on the other hand we should also think that why human cut down foerst and why do human burn or slash forest? It all because of the demand that WE are facing. =)
2)Hiew Zi Jie will not be going school anymore and Ms Tracy will lose her job as a teacher. And soonner or later the world populartion will start going down like a slope and earth wll be gone.. =)

1) I think that deforestation is justified as it helps humans progress. Without the space, humans would need to build higher buildings for the space and higher building means higher risk of the building falling down due to lack of support.But I also think that humans should limit destroying trees as trees have many functions, are free and also can preserve all the species of plants and animals.
2)Less oxygen and so humans and animals will fight for oxygen. I don't think animals will fight though as many would have died in the process of destroying the trees. Our descendants would not be about to see the animals that extinct or even worst, no descendants due to no more oxygen.
Humans will slowly die off and aliens would take over our planet if there are aliens because no need to invade as humans are already dying due to no more trees.

1) I think that deforestion is not justified because according to the video, it shows tree being burnt. this shows that home of animal is being destroyed. we humans did not bother about home of animals but only care about ourselves.

1)I think deforestation is not justified as by looking at this video, we knows that the trees are being cut for different uses like papers, industries, furniture and etc.
2)Eventually the animals that live in the forest will be extinct. Humans will soon suffer because the trees give us oxygen. If the trees are cut down, we will be lacking of oxygen.

1) i don't think that deforestation is justified as in the video, a lot of trees was being cut down. even though the log can use to make a lot of useful things, people should be thinking for alternatives method instead of cutting the trees thinking that nothing will be affected by their actions.
2) soil erosion will happen easily and soon we will only able to eat fresh soil instead of fresh vegetables as farm built near the forest will be flooded by soil. forest will catch fire easily and cause air pollution if a big area of forest is on fire and we will not go to school. everyone fall sick and world population will decrease drastically.

1) Whether is deforestation justified a not, u have to see it on different perspective. It depends on whether it is doing it in a legal or illegal way. If it's illegal, like burning the forest to clear the trees for land, preventing that method will be strongly advise.
2) If our forest continue to suffer the lose of trees and plants, our surroundings will be affected too. Oxygen will lessen, supplies of wood will be insufficient , and more. Hence these will affect the mankind living situation and causes death as well.
Moreover, preventing deforestation will be best and prevent the scoffing of suggestion to take place.

I think deforestation is not justified as shown in this video, all trees are cut down and burn for working purposes/ landuses. However, if these were to carry on, plants and animals will be extinct. Lacking of trees do harm humans (stated in joycelyn chua's comment),lacking of oxygen can affect human as plants are source of giving us oxygen. Animals living in the forest will lose their habitat.

1. From the video, we can see that deforestation is not justified. By cutting down trees rapid rate before it can be replant.
2. If trees are cut down at a rapid rate. Air quality will reduce due to lesser oxygen. Earth will experience higher temperature as there are lesser trees to cool and regulates earth.

1)In my opinion,it is both justified and unjustified to deforestation just as there are both sides of a coin.In there view of the justified side,by doing deforestation, more lands can be used for housing and farming as the world population are increasing at a rapid rate.Jobs are also created as factories are built on the cleared lands.In the view of the unjustified side,if deforestation continues,there will be less oxygen and increased carbon dioxide which will deplete the ozone layer and cause global warming.Animals will also go extinct as their home,the forest are destroyed.

Qn1) Deforestation are not justified! Trees are being cut down at an extremely fast rate for its resources and its land.
Qn2) Our world will face natural disaster if forest keep disappearing. Without trees we will face natural disaster like droughts, flood etc. We will also lost cures for sickness as 25% of the medicines come from the forests.

1) From my own opinion, deforestation in the world is justified. From the video, it did not show how much deforestation have help mankind in terms economic. By deforestation, more lands can be used for housing, agriculture to match the world demand and also make papers and furniture.However, cutting down too much trees also affects the world environment greatly. Therefore, the world should cut down trees when needed only.
2)The world will be destroy by mankind if the forests is continue being cut down. There will be many problems like our climate will change for the worse,soil erosion will happen easily,earth will experience higher temperature as there are lesser trees to cool and regulates earth.

1) I believed deforestation is not justified. As shown in the video, it shows pictures of the parts of the forest that had been destroyed and they did not show the process whereby the trees are been cut down. The deforestation of forest has many negative impacts on most living organisms, a the temperature of the globe changes, plants and animals might not be used to the present temperature, and result in death.
2) The world will be facing the scariest thing that we humans can imagine, the end of the world. It is scientifically possible, animals and plants can face extinction, humans will, too.
Increase in temperature will also affect the behaviour of animals, plants and humans. In the near future, if rate of deforestation persist, there will be loss of informaton studies on the behaviour of animals and plants, as we do not know how animals and plants behave naturally, when they first exist.

1) Deforestation is not justified. Trees are being cut down at an extremely fast rate for human benefits. We, human shouldn't be selfish. We should also spare a thought for the animals and the future generation.
2)If this goes on, animals who live in the forests will become extinct as they do not have a proper home to live in. Not only that, our climate will change and we might experience natural disaters.

1. I do not think that the deforestation is justified as we know that forests are home to a lot species of animals, trees and plants. Even, the native people are living there. They depend a lot on the trees. For example, they gather the wood like fuel wood and charcoal in the forest for cooking and heating. The forests also provide food for the native people. They harvest crops like sago and edible ferns, and hunt animals for food. Medicines were provided in the forest. Many of the forest plants have yet to discover fully their medicinal value that may be a cure for some diseases. Chemicals can even be found in the forests, which are useful like the sap of the mangrove trees that is used to make black dye. Forests also contain a lot of building materials like timber which have high market value. The roots of the vegetation in the forest also hold the soil particles together that prevent rain or wind from removing the soil. Therefore, it maintains the quality of soil. The roots also prevent flooding as it increases the river's ability to hold water. Mangrove forests help to protect the coastal areas from strong winds and waves. It also process waste materials. Its roots trap the waste materials and filter the water. The process is the natural ability of the mangrove forests to treat waste. Forests help us replenish the oxygen supply and remove carbon dioxide.
This reduces the greenhouse gas and prevents the rising of global temperature. Forests encourage the clouds to form and therefore when it rains; it replenishes the water in the rivers or reservoirs. Groundwater also plays a part to replenish the water in rivers and reservoir. The interception of rainwater reduces the amount of rainwater flowing into nearby rivers, etc. Hence, it maintains the quality of the water. With of these factors, I strongly feel that deforestation should be reduce as it is not justified.
2. Carbon dioxide will increases result in high global temperature. Floods will happen frequently. Coastal coasts will be easily destroyed. The habitat to the plants, trees, animals and native people will be gone. There may be not enough building materials, sources of fuel and useful chemicals for the future generation. Some medicinal valued plants and new varieties of forest plants may never be discovered due to extinction. People may not be able to explore, carry out the recreational activities like hiking and appreciate the beauty of forests. Eventually, the future generation will not be able experience the natural beauty like hearing the sounds and see how a animal look like in the wild.

I strongly agree with the point that Hui Jia comment on as if we continue destroying the forest for our own benefits, we will be all DIE. Because, we need forests for many uses as what i have mentioned earlier (above), therefore i think it is the time that we start changing our attitude! 1)Deforestation can be justified & unjustified:)
In my opinion,the advantages of deforestation is that those people who are living in poverty will have a place to stay.Due to the overgrowing population,the forest are being cut down for urbanisation.
Urbanisation which means the growth & expansion of towns or cities.
One more advantages can be more demand for land brought about by the increasing scale of agricultural activities:)
The source of demand for agricultural landuse comes from the new settlers who grow crops in small holdings.Many new settlers permanently clear forests to establish small holdings,which are small farms where crops such as rice,vegetables,coffee & cocoa are grown.The new settlers are motivated by profit to extend their farmland by clearing more forested areas.
The disadvantages of deforestation is the loss of biodiversity.
The diverse range of plants and animals is referred as biodiversity.It can lead to the extinction of species.
When trees are removed by burning,dust and smoke are released in air,causing air pollution.Huge forest fires can cause dust & smoke to be suspended in the air for some time,resulting in the phenomenon of haze.Haze which can make people suffer:(

1. I think that deforestation is not justified, as the video shows that trees are being burnt and slash for human benefits. It resulted in global warming, erosion of soil, floods and loss of biodiversity.
2. Forest will catch fire easily and cause air pollution due to carbon dioxide being released into the air through burning. At times, when the burning gets out of control, the pollution gets much more worse. This does not only cause global warming, but affects our health too.

1. I think that deforestation is not justified as even though by cutting trees help them in other parts,they did not realise how much time left they have to live in this world. Day by day when trees is cut down,it is equivalent to cutting the years shorter for us to live on earth.

1. I think that deforestation is not justified. Deforestation cause global warming, flood, soil erosion and loss of biodiversity. Farmers use deforestation like forest fire to clear the forest as it save time and money but it will cause global warming due to the gases that are given out. The forest fire cause the ozone layer to be thin.When there is deforestation, soil erosion and flood may occur as the roots of the plant prevent rain and wind from removing the soil. Many animal will die as there is no food and shelter for them. Plant that had not be discovered are also lost in deforestation thus preventing us from discovering cure for illnesses. There will be lack of oxygen as the plant take in carbon dioxide and give out oxygen.
2. Our future generation will not be able to see the wonderful and the beauty of the forest as deforestation occur. Future generation will have a feeling of lost as they did not have the opportunity to see the usefulness of the earth resources. The earth ozone layer will be thinner every year and we may die if there is no more ozone layer that will protect us. More animal will become extinct when the forest which is their home and where they find their food was destroyed by the deforestation as it is our duty and responsibility and by humans. We should stop deforestation as an human to take care the earth.

1)I don't think deforestation is justified as trees are being chopped down just to make space for buildings to be built.
2)The world will be a disaster as it will be hot & humid as it will lead to a widespread of globalwarming. Ice are melting at the north pole and the polar bears are becoming extinct.
We will also perish as the world will not have enough oxygen to go around as there are lesser trees to provide oxygen for us.We must do something about it or the world will come to an end.

Question 2:
Deforestation is an important contributor to global warming and the consequences of global warming are catastrophic(eg.increasing drought and desertification, crop failures, melting of the polar ice caps, coastal flooding, and displacement of major vegetation regimes.)
Humans would suffer later if they do not know how to cherish what they have now.
If global warming would continue, the earth will soon burst.
